Nothing is impossible with God and he uses us to change the world

Change the World

by Debbie Zepick

It’s not out of reach

Is there anything impossible with God
He takes our mission
This flawed offering
And he breathes his Spirit life in what we bring

Can we ask too much
Do we really want to park right where we are
I ask for passion and a listening ear
For the one who gave it all wants me to hear

So I’m not afraid to tell you that I want to change the world
Can you see the Son shining in my eye
And I’m living on the edge because I want to change the world
To make a difference here before I die
Oh, ask me why

So I take the plunge
There is just no other way to learn to fly
Let go and test Him
Keeper of our dreams
As he buoys us life is bigger than it seems

If He shut the door, nothing we can do
If He opens it then we walk through

We count the cost
But there’s so much more ahead than what we’ve lost
When we go the distance
And we run the race
For the one who paid the price and set the pace

A Sinner

Friend A: “What are your religion?”

Friend B: “I’m Christian, how about you?”

Friend A: “I’m a sinner, never go to church, don’t have any religion”

Short conversation of the two friends of mine.

Dropped a smile on my face to hear that. 🙂

Yeah, sometimes the very human thought:

Christian people are not sinners.

Sinners can’t enter church.

Hey! Who said that Christian people are not sinners?

We are also sinners! That’s why we are looking for God, looking for savior, to help us far from sin, to save us win against the evil. He even died for us to save us human because we all sinners!

And hey! Who said that sinners can’t enter church?

The fact that everybody has fallen to sin, we need hand in hand to help each other to find a rescue, that coming from our God. So, no body is right if not because of God save us. We all patient that need cure.

Just my thought, anyway, no offense 🙂

There was an illustration: One time, Jesus knocked on a guy’s door. But the guy didn’t let Jesus come into his house because he need to tidy up and fix things inside. He asked Jesus to wait until everything was settled down before he could enter the house. Then Jesus told him to just open the door and let him come in. So that they could settle together.

So, this new year, please let Jesus come in to your life. So that he can fix you and save your life

God Bless! 🙂

A New Year’s Errand, 1 Peter 5

1 Peter 5, an introduction to enter new year? At least for me?

31 December 2011 morning, awakened by another ‘biblical’ dream, it was 1 Peter 5. First thing I did when I open my eyes was finding what is inside that passage. Thanks to the technology, I could easily searched it by the bible application on my mobile 😀

If you know me well, you will agree with my statement: “How could I have this kind of dream, since I am nothing”. Yeah, I always come to regret when I say this: I don’t even good in reading Bible. I don’t even good in prayer. Yeah why me? Well, however, it was just happened to me, got a dream, a message to enter 2012?

I saw people that I knew. Gathering. Waiting. In worried, were afraid about the soon coming evil. I felt it. Felt the creepy and scary atmosphere. They were asking for direction, for guidance, what to do to face out the evil.

They were waiting for me! Coz I said I’ve read something in the Bible that said about how to defeat the evil. (again, why me??) But as another dream, It was never easy. I couldn’t find the passage however I tried to look for it.

I thought it was on Paul. But when I did re-thought, It was Peter. Yes finally I found it, on Peter. 1 Peter 5.

Then I shared to them. And we found that we, as human, we don’t have any power to defeat the evil ourselves. Only if God’s works on us, that we definitely can win against the evil. Because of His Great Power, that insulate us from the evil one.

So, the secret to win from the evil one was PRAYER and WORSHIP. Those were what I found from my short dream at the end of 2011.

The conclusion that I’ve got from my dream, 2012, we need to unite as Christian, do pray to our God asking for help and strength, so that we can save from evil. Be prepare, because soon, it is coming. But no need to worry, because we are covered by our great awesome God. 🙂

It is a pleasure for me to share this thought and experience!

Have a great blessed year ahead, happy new year all. 🙂

1 Peter 5:

(2) Tend (nurture, guard, guide, and fold) the flock of God that is [your responsibility], not by coercion or constraint, but willingly; not dishonorably motivated by the advantages and profits [belonging to the office], but eagerly and cheerfully;

(3) Not domineering [as arrogant, dictatorial, and overbearing persons] over those in your charge, but being examples (patterns and models of Christian living) to the flock (the congregation).

(4) And [then] when the Chief Shepherd is revealed, you will win the conqueror’s crown of glory.

(5) Likewise, you who are younger and of lesser rank, be subject to the elders (the ministers and spiritual guides of the church)–[giving them due respect and yielding to their counsel]. Clothe (apron) yourselves, all of you, with humility [as the garb of a servant, so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from you, with freedom from pride and arrogance] toward one another. For God sets Himself against the proud (the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful)–[and He opposes, frustrates, and defeats them], but gives grace (favor, blessing) to the humble.

(6) Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,

(7) Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

(8) Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [ in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

(9) Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset–rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same ( identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.

(10) And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you.

(11) To Him be the dominion (power, authority, rule) forever and ever. Amen (so be it).
